The Steel Empire has for years been constrained from fully expanding its borders. To the east lies the magical realm of Ryvyn who's floating fortifications bar all passage. To the west are the mountains and the twin fortresses of the Jade palace of Pain and the Oblivion wall, both manned by massive undead armies of the Kingdom of Kranth.
And to the North was the ashlands, ruled over by a massive red dragon, Saranthash. But now Saranthash has vanished, and the once closed frontier is open after 3000years of draconian rule. The elves warn of entering the frontier, as they say the dragon was defending us all, but the empire, the church need to expand...
