Gee, that Star Wars soundtrack isn't getting much love here.

One I've wanted to get but don't have is The Right Stuff.
For me, Star Wars and LotR soundtracks go without mentioning. :)

In fact, pretty much anything by Danny Elfman or John Williams go without mentioning.

Star Wars, Josie and the Pussycats, the scores for the Matrix sequels.

I've wanted the Braveheart soundtrack, but have never gotten around to it.

The ones that I've been listening to the most recently are Spider-man 2, X2, The Rocketeer, Pirates of the Caribbean & Fight Club.

Star Wars & LotR are assumed to be favorites as mentioned above. :)

Highlander, or was it A Kind of Magic by Queen?

A Kind of Magic was the name of the album.

For me, it's these albums:
1. The Crow
2. The Lord of the Rings (all)
3. Star Wars (all)
4. Braveheart
5. The Matrix (all)
6. Mortal Kombat
7. Hackers
8. Rocky Horror Picture Show (I lost this one, but I came close to wearing it out)
9. A Kind of Magic (which actually contributed songs to two movies; Who Wants To Live Forever, Princes Of The Universe, Don't Lose Your Head, and The Prize were featured in Highlander, while the very first track, One Vision, was heard in the movie Iron Eagle).
10. 8 Mile

I've long had a theory that any great movie/TV show will have at a MINIMUM a great opening theme song, if not a great BGM.

The Dirty Pair Movie (AKA Project Eden) - I consider it one of the great crimes in video that this movie was released in mono.
Dirty Pair TV series
Dirty Pair "The Conspiracy of Flight 005"
Project Ako - Music was produced by the guys who did the music for Flashdance
Dominion- Tank Police : Tankyboy's Light Your Fires!
Bubblegum Crisis OVAs (Original)- The music was by far the best thing in this OVA series.
Kimagure Orange Road - I have a boxed set of something like 10 CDs from this 48 episode series, some redundancy, but still.
Star Wars/Empire/Return - Is there a greater piece of music than the Imperial March?
Cowboy Beebop - Hey, the series was half named after a musical style.
Char's Counter Attack - Some very good orchestral works in here
Akira
Area 88 (the 80's OVA series)
Twin Peaks
Big Trouble in Little China

I don't buy a lot of moview soundtracks, so my list is probably pretty short and I am probably missing out on some good ones.

Hackers
Matrix
LotR
Blade (the first one)

Braveheart
Gladiator
Last of the Mohicans
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Star Trek II
Jurassic Park
Band of Brothers
Moulin Rouge
Legend (Tangerine Dream)
The Ghost and the Darkness
Lord of the Rings
Star Wars
Indiana Jones trilogy

I'm know there are a few I'm missing, but that's a good chunk of my favorites.
