A great store, with a huge selection of all sorts of RPGs, wargames, board games, and miniatures, and a friendly, knowledgable staff. Hosts the Chicago ENWorld Game Days, and is operated by ENWorld's own thalmin. And, they do mail-order.

The only gaming store in my area that I'm aware of is:

The Dragon's Lair
683 Westfield St. (route 20)
West Springfield, MA 01089-3802
Phone: (413) 731-7237
Email: info@d-lair.com
Website: http://www.d-lair.com/

Really a little hole-in-the-wall sort of place, though. A small selection of magazines, RPG books, dice & whatnot, comics, and minis, and most of their game sessions are just wargames. And the last time I tried to go there it was closed because the owner recently got a teaching job. :/ (God, I wish I could afford to move somewhere more geek-friendly.)

Best game store I have ever seen.

They are the cleanest, friendliest, most professionally run game store I know of. They have 4 game rooms available for use by the public free of charge (best to reserve ahead of time) plus 5 demo tables in the main part of the store. The game rooms have professional quality board room tables and chairs, independent sound systems and you can request themed music. There is a large plasma screen prominently displayed in the store showing upcoming promotions as well as the standings in the current gaming leagues that are running. The store does focus a great deal on miniatures gaming, but they also have a good selection of pen & paper RPGs and a variety of excellent board games that is second to none. They maintain a record of customer "experience points" and every time you gain a level, you get a credit that you can apply to your next purchase or bank towards a future purchase.

They celebrated their first anniversary in business last week and had a gigantic celebration with a local radio station broadcasting live from the store, free BBQ & cake, hourly prizes and a raffle with a Nintendo Wii as the grand prize.

It is a fantastic store and I highly recommend it to everyone. They also have an excellent online store if a trip to the brick & mortar is too far.

Great shop, just don't expect an actual storefront. They're half post-office half internet-shop now. Free postage in Germany with orders of 20 Euro or more.

Very old RPGs and (pewter) miniatures but oh the prices! And don't expect them to answer emails in under 4 weeks time...

This one was the brick and mortar store that i grew up with. And an awesome store it was. Then it moved, moved again, and again and closed. Now they selling online out of their warehouse. The warehouse is well worth a visit though, you can actually wander through it and browse the shelves.

They used to have everything, now they have mostly books and comics and some RPGs. No newer stuff, but you can find very interesting very old stuff.
