What's your rolling style?

I played at UK Games Expo recently and the guy opposite me insisted on rolling his dice on my character sheet and then leaving them there. Every time he rolled I had to pick his dice up and put them back on his side of the table. I couldn't understand it - he literally had to reach right across the table to do this.

He didn't seem to be winding me up - it was just what he did. Bizarre.

Did it irritate you; it would me – get your greasy, smelly dice of my sheet!

I have a player in my group -- a very good friend of mine and all-round good egg -- who absolutely cannot roll his dice in any way which does not cause them to clatter across the table and rebound like a pin-ball off of glasses, books, bottles, plates, and the DM's screen, before inevitably trickling off the edge and being declared void. It's really quite funny up until about the 18th time you pick his attack roll up from under your foot and give it back to him. :)

No one has fessed up to the "casually drop the dice from about one inch about the table, then snatch them up before anyone can see the results, saying 'Another natural 20! I'm hot tonight, boys!'".

What?

You mean everyone doesn't do that?

We have a guy in our group who has unfortunately bought these really hard to read dice, so every time he rolls, he has to pick the die up and inspect it like a jewel appraiser (tedious).

One of our players has dice with green backing and red numbers. I have a red-green weakness and certainly can't read his dice. Which might be for the better.
