Huh. It's odd, but I never realized how little I care for published settings. I mean I love Greyhawk. The original Greyhawk and I like Eberron, but everything else on the list is somewhere on my 'Meh' list. Some higher than others, of course. DL is nice. FR is ok. DS is an interesting twist. But really, most of the rest are just 'more of the same'.

Offering multiple choices for the same setting I think was unnecessary. I chose 3E Greyhawk, but I think the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer is more appropriate to represent the setting than the Adventure Begins.

On a related note, Ravenloft 3e is technically a White Wolf/Arthaus setting, not a WotC setting.

I wonder if the writers knew that it was cockney rhyming slang for a particularly offensive epithet?
Yes, berk is meant to be used the same way. Most of the planar slang is nothing more than cockney dialect.

I voted for Blackmoor, from the OD&D booklet.

The only version of Blackmoor that I have really liked has been the one published by Judges Guild way back when ...

Then again, with the exception of the Greyhawk folio and box set, my favored campaign settings have been non TSR with Wilderlands of High Fantasy leading the way.

Forgotten Realms (all), Kara-Tur, Dark Sun (original), Spelljammer and Original Greyhawk got my vote.

And as others have stated, all are subordinate to my homebrew.
