Wheel of Time

Thanks, Xath. I would really appreciate that.

In a Psionics-based system, how would you do that, Pyrex? And, as well, Stilling is able to be Healed by powerful channelers. If the healer isn't strong enough, then it doesn't work all the way, IE the target only gains back some channeling ability.

Wikipedia quote!

The Yellow Ajah has traditionally used a method of healing that utilises only Water, Air, and Spirit. This method draws on strength from the person being healed, which results in the person becoming weak and ravenous, despite being physically healthy. This method of healing also causes a kind of shock; this shock can kill small children and animals, which are therefore not Healed. Although, Nynaeve al’Meara has recently discovered a new method of healing, this utilizes all of the Five Powers, as well as finding a cure for stilling which was previously thought incurable. Nynaeve’s new method (this method may actually be the method of healing used during the Age of Legends, as some of the Forsaken have noted that the method of Healing used by the Aes Sedai is primitive, so would really be the old method) of Healing is known exclusively to the Aes Sedai that have rebelled in Salidar.

To be able to Heal the severance would be a rare power, but it could be done without using Miracle, Wish, Limited Wish, or Reality Revision.

In a Psionics-based system, I'd do it as a cumulative Manifester Level penalty; losing one Manifester Level per failed save. (a successful save would still end the power. I realize that neither this power nor the spell I posited above are as all-or-nothing as the novels; but they're far more reasonable game-wise)

Also, in a Psi-Based system, "UnStill" would be a power one or two levels higher than Stilling. I'd treat is much like a Dispel check, with the user of UnStill making a ManifesterLevel check (mabye give them an additional +1/2-3 PP Augment) against a DC of 10 + the Manifester Level of the person who used the Stilling effect. Subtract the DC from the result to get the maximum Manifester Level restored.

Example:
Bob (Manifester Level 10) is captured by Jane (Manifester Level 12) and over the course of a few days (and several manifestations of Stilling) is totally Stilled (Manifester Level 0)

A few weeks later Bob (currently ML 0) meets Jim, (ML 14) who knows UnStill.

Jim manifests UnStill and gets (ML=14)+(d20=12) on his check for a total of 26 vs a DC of (Base=10)+(ML=12)=22. 26-22=4, meaning Jim has restored Bob to a Manifester Level of 4.

A couple levels later Jim tries again, rolling really well (ML=16)+(d20=18)=34-(DC=22)=12, restoring Bob's full Manifester Level of 10.
