Tabletop or do computer games count?

My first D&D exposure was through Pool of Radiance on the Commodore 64 in the mid 80s.
My first tabletop game was somewhere in the early 90s.

Started in 88, ended in 90. I used a combination of 1st and 2nd ed AD&D. Other games got my attention and I haven't played/DMed since then (except twice this spring).

Sorry, Gary. I was a latecomer to the hobby. Not until the nations Bicentennial did I start. ;)

Welp, started in 1983 after playing in a couple of one shot type games. Had no freakin' idea what I was doing and I loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

One of my favorite early gaming memories revolves around three players all creating Rangers, playing those for about a level or two and then having the DM shift us to Gamma World. Was quite interesting.

1980

Started playing with the Holmes box set. Didn't get my own set til 81 when I got the Moldvay Red box. I got most of the AD&D hardbacks and a stack of AD&D modules for my birthday in 83.
