When do you lose spells?

If a wizard loses her spellbook, how long can she "remember" unused spells? Do they basically stay memorized until she uses them, or do they disappear the next day regardless or after some amount of time?

Prepared spells stay prepared/memorized until cast. So, even if you lose your spellbook, you still have the spells you have in memory...until you cast them.

Or something happens that discharges those spells, like getting raised, or scribing a scroll, etc.

yeah, death erased your spells. ;)

I thought there was a % chance of loosing spells when dead/raised. But I could be thinking of something else.

edit: Ok, I checked the SRD, raise dead gives a 50% chance of loosing each spell, in addition to any lost due to level loss. Resurrect and I'm guessing true resurrect have no memorized spell loss.
