That might not be your biggest problem. Hit Boardgamegeek and search for Scorched Earth there. Returns a couple of games that may or may not present difficulties.

"Scorched Earth" sounds epic...so it's reasonable that a lot of games, works of fiction and other things have used it before. I mean even EN World's own "Burning Sky" is a play on the term. Personally, worlds destroyed by fire are a little overdone, be it military fire or magical happenings. Be unique! Be frosty! Quote Dr. Freeze a lot! Doesn't "Bitter Harvet" sound awesome?
