When should we expect answers?

Morrus did a thread here a little bit ago on questions we want to ask WotC about the Digital Initiative. I'm sure he took it down because he received enough to put together a FAQ for them.

My question is, can WotC tell us an approximate time period of when we will receive answers to those questions?

Ah ok, I asked thinking they might've told ya or something but guess not.

Ever so mysterious Wizards they are...of the Coast... :D

How about....

I got an email from Scott Rouse saying they hoped to get them to me by the end of today - although I assume that means end of today in Seattle, so in the morning for me. No promises, though.

One thing I'll say is that the historic events that have happened recently are the cancellation of the E-Tools, Dragon, and Dungeon licenses. Those are the things that I'll personally miss and really be sad about.

The presence or absence of Wizards PR commentary this week is entirely negligible in importance, as far as I'm concerned.

That's exactly the opposite of my reaction. :) For me, the most interesting part of it all is figuring out whether their silence is just a botch of the situation, or indicative of an iceberg beneath the metaphoric waters.

I can't believe that given the heart-felt reminiscing they put on their page that they wouldn't have expected people's reactions to be negative, and . . . uh . . . you know, tried and stuff.

It doesn't bode well when the people who want to "take the game online" haven't sussed out the whole talking on the internet thing. It's starting to look like this is the part of the nosedive when the co-pilot looks up from his console and says, "are these readings right?"

Anyway, I'm very curious to read their answers, but at the same time disappointed that they're going to do it in a oh-so-crisis-managed way rather than just showing up to tell people what is actually going on. Skulduggery is afoot!

IF this were actually D&D, it'd be time to kick in the door and start looking for the evil guy.

Of course, I respect your opinion. But my point is there's absolutely nothing they could have, should have, or would have said that would take the sting off losing the major D&D publication for the entire course of the game's existence. There's absolutely no future product or plan they could reveal that would change that loss or make me happy about it.

In fact, as I think about it, I'll even go so far as to appreciate the fact that they're showing enough respect to the community to avoid a press campaign like, "These 30-year institutions are being cancelled, but we think it's great news because coming up next we have... xxxx!!"
