Ah creature collection...
When I needed Gauth Beholders, you were there...
When I needed Dire Corbies to swarm my players with, you were there...

*Sings an ode to the Creature Collection*

That's the Creature Catalog. :p

Creature Collection is the Sword & Sorcery Scarred Lands bestiary line. CC, CC2: Grotesque Menagerie, CC3: Savage Bestiary, CCR...

I think I should write a few dozen of monsters and publish it as the Creature Compendium or the Creature Codex or the Creature Compilation just to add to the confusion factor. :p

Maybe WotC could make an update of Savage Species entitled "Complete Creature" as well?

My "others" are Monsters of the Endless Dark, and Monsters of the Boundless Blue, both from the Wanders Guild/Goodman Games.
The nest part about these books is that NONE of my players have even seen them before. :D

I don't own any of the books above.

If it's not from the MM, a monster IMC is most likely from a published adventure or from WotC website. I have the Manual of the Planes from which I used a lot of monsters & templates however, plus a few critters from Armies of the Abyss and Legions of Hell (tho not so many).

I usually use Tome of Horror, Creature Collection 1 and CC2. I don't own many of the others you have listed but these 3 fill my burning need for lots of wierd monsters.

Most likely for me is Complete Minions as I know it the best of the more than fifty d20 monster books I own.

d20 Modern SRDs are close though as I have read them all and have done out charts sorting them by CR and types.
