Where can I find code of honor/chivalry?

I am wanting to be a dragonborn of bahamut and intend to display a Lawful Good lifestyle much like a paladin is. So does anyone have good codes of honor for this type of person to live by?

My class will be dragon adept or dragon shaman.

Unearthed Arcana has a simple one for paladins. This is one version of a code of conduct for paladins (or any lawful good adherent) -

Paladin’s Code
  • Never commit an evil act.
  • Respect legitimate authority.
  • Act with honor (don’t lie, don’t cheat, don’t use poison, and so on).
  • Help those who need help (provided they do not use the help for evil or chaotic ends).
  • Punish those that harm or threaten innocents.

It's usually more appliciable to Paladin-type characters, but I often direct people toward the Boy Scout Laws as a good example of a Lawful Good code...

US Boy Scout Handbook said:
A Scout is Trustworthy. A Scout tells the truth. He is honest, and he keeps his promises. People can depend on him.

A Scout is Loyal. A Scout is true to his family, friends, Scout leaders, school, and nation.

A Scout is Helpful. A Scout cares about other people. He willingly volunteers to help others without expecting payment or reward.

A Scout is Friendly. A Scout is a friend to all. He is a brother to other Scouts. He offers his friendship to people of all races and nations, and respects them even if their beliefs and customs are different from his own.

A Scout is Courteous. A Scout is polite to everyone regardless of age or position. He knows that using good manners makes it easier for people to get along.

A Scout is Kind. A Scout knows there is strength in being gentle. He treats others as he wants to be treated. Without good reason, he does not harm or kill any living thing.

A Scout is Obedient. A Scout follows the rules of his family, school, and troop. He obeys the laws of his community and country. If he thinks these rules and laws are unfair, he tries to have them changed in an orderly manner rather than disobeying them.

A Scout is Cheerful. A Scout looks for the bright side of life. He cheerfully does tasks that come his way. He tries to make others happy.

A Scout is Thrifty. A Scout works to pay his own way and to help others. He saves for the future. He protects and conserves natural resources. He carefully uses time and property.

A Scout is Brave. A Scout can face danger although he is afraid. He has the courage to stand for what he thinks is right even if others laugh at him or threaten him.

A Scout is Clean. A Scout keeps his body and mind fit and clean. He chooses the company of those who live by high standards. He helps keep his home and community clean.

A Scout is Reverent. A Scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties. He respects the beliefs of others.

While it is a bit more than what you are asking for, Love & War is basically a whole book about how to play a goodly knight. I found its discussion of the chivalric virtues to be an excellent source for character motivation and play.

You can see some details or purchase a pdf of it here. While you're visiting, you might want to check out other related products: Nobility provides an alternative alignment system that seems geared to provide different codes of honor, like you seek.

You have all given me a lot of good codes to think about. I most like the boy scout laws, I have not heard them before but they are a type of thing I want for my character who is adopted son of a gold dragon. These kind of rules are what I think I would have been taught by the lawful good dragon. :D

Thank you everyone.

The Cowboy Code
- by Gene Autry

A cowboy must never take unfair advantage of an enemy.
He must never go back on his word, or (betray) a trust confided in him.
He must always tell the truth.
He must always be gentle with children, the elderly and animals.
He must not possess racially or religiously intolerant ideas.
He must help people in distress.
He must be a good worker.
He must keep himself clean in thought, speech, action and personal habits.
He must respect women, parents, and his nation's laws.
The Cowboy is a patriot.

The Knight's Code from the Song of Roland

To fear God and maintain His Church
To serve the liege lord in valour and faith
To protect the weak and defenceless
To give succour to widows and orphans
To refrain from the wanton giving of offence
To live by honour and for glory
To despise pecuniary reward
To fight for the welfare of all
To obey those placed in authority
To guard the honour of fellow knights
To eschew unfairness, meanness and deceit
To keep faith
At all times to speak the truth
To persevere to the end in any enterprise begun
To respect the honour of women
Never to refuse a challenge from an equal
Never to turn the back upon a foe

The points of Chivalry, as described by the Duke of Burgundy:
Faith
Charity
Justice
Sagacity
Prudence
Temperance
Resolution
Truth
Liberality
Diligence
Hope
Valour
