Where did the new D&D Basic Game go?

The 2006 D&D product listing no longer lists a new Basic Game. Anyone have any information on where it went?

(I was looking forward to seeing it.)

I don't recall the refreshed Basic Game ever being on the product page.

The retailer page has it listed as a September 12 release.

Might be. Yahoo Cache doesn't show it in the product listing, but I can't see when the cache was updated. Only thing I know is that cache updates on Yahoo tend to be slower than on Google, which cached the page on the 26th July.
No google or Yahoo search brings up a product page for the 2006 basic game, either, just the 2004 version, and stuff removed from a website tends to remain in the cache for a while. Unless Wizards specifically wanted that cache killed, there was never a product page.
Fun fact - on Amazon.ca, the new basic game was put up as a January 07 release once, which has since been corrected. Maybe it wasn't a mistake at all?

You sure that isn't the Players Kit? The box looks very similar.

But with that said, I do recall hearing about a updated version that was going to contain a blue dragon minifig.

I'm just going by what the search engines told me. I haven't looked at the product listings on the Wizards site very often.

Edit - Well, we're doomed, the 4th Edition Basic Set is already out and for sale.
