Where did the new D&D Basic Game go?

Since I've obviously fallen prey to a dimenionsal anchor spell, you've got me for a bit before I hie off to GenCon where you can say hi in person.

This is probably the sentiment of the vast majority of gamers on all three of those boards, but I like hearing game designer opinions of non-game designer ideas. At the very least, it's nice to know we're being heard. I do understand being busy, though, so I appreciate the few posts I do see.

Mwaha. I love no saving throw spells. Unfortunately, I'm unable to make it to GenCon (likely for the next couple years), but I'd otherwise take you up on that offer! Maybe give you some "I was hounded on EN World and all I got was this t-shirt" shirt or something.

Even the link provided on the Previews For August and beyond page points to the wrong product (Fiendish Compendium I).

The last basic game came with pregenerated PCs and rules for creating your own. I hope the new set is similar.

I have an old Basic D&D box (circa 1980) where the age range is 10+, and the earlier WotC Basic game age range is 12+. Did the feedback from players was enough to lower the age range back down towards the earlier Basic D&D age range.
