i see threads on here from time to time about where people get their print RPG books from, and i'm curious to know where most of the enWorlders get their fix.

I like to use my LGS but he is quite useless at getting anything in on the day of release, and often doesn't get anything for upto 2-3 weeks after release.

So, I have taken to ordering direct from a supplier.

You could use an "other" or "mixed" choice :) ; I buy my WOTC books and a few rare other books that the local B & N carries because it's 2 minutes from my front door and I have my 10% discount; almost all the rest of my buying comes from my FLGS across town (nice people) with a very few purchases online.

forgot to put where i get mine.... i get them online, wherever i can find them the cheapest. duh. i use priceOwl's RPG search pretty much exclusively. i know some of you use similar search engines, but i happen to prefer it to the one or two others out there. :)

as far as a "mixed" choice, i wanted to see where people get the majority of their books. most people use a mixed approach, so it wouldn't find out much would it? hehe. although i could have gone for the select all that apply approach...

Nowadays I always go to priceowl.com to compare all of the on-line retailers who are ALWAYS cheaper than the retail stores. For example, the list price for Faiths and Pantheons is $32.95 but after looking at priceowl I see that I can order it from Overstock.com for $20.39 (that includes shipping folks). With an average of saving at least $10 per book by ordering them on-line I don't think I'll ever buy a book from a retail store again. :D

Mostly from Overstock. Their prices are really good and I'm really poor. It works out. As much as I'd like to support the neighborhood gaming store, it's just too expensive for me.

Online, which mostly comes down to amazon.com which comes up cheapest with the shipping costs added in. Living in Europe ain't cheap :(. I've had the occasional lucky shot with e-bay but shipping adds up when it's not from within Europe.

When I occasionaly make it to my FLGS (it is in another town) I buy all I can.
But more and more it is from ebay or the ENstore.
