Now that's hardly fair, New Zealand has given us a lot, being the setting for so many TV shows and movies such as Xena and Lord of the Rings. What has Australia ever given to the world community? :p ;)

Why, your national bear, the Koala, is a poseur, not even being a real bear at all!

IIRC a big turn out on a thread like this depends on a certain amount of competition. If made early in the day and the western hemisphere doesn't chime in too much, sometimes the eastern hemisphere jumps in and tries to show that they are a majority. If they do take over significantly in the numbers, or even threaten dominance, then the next day (by the western hemisphere clock) the western hemisphere turns out in larger numbers. Etc. We'll see how the turning of the world effects this poll... :D

Mel Gibson... Nicole Kidman... Croc Dundee...

It's nothing really, just that Aussies and Kiwi's have a rivalry of sorts, what with us being cool and all and them being sheep lovers... :D

The magnificent spectacle of swarms of migrating kangaroo, swimming up the Snowy River to spawn.

I don't mean to be weird about this, but isn't the United Kingdom in uh, Europe?

I wondered who will be the first to react... :D

Com'on, everyone knows the UK is not in Europe, they're the 51st state of the USA !

Hence why the new style of patriotic T-shirt shows Uncle Sam holding the globe, about to take a huge bite out of it, and the subtitle reads "We will devour you" (as seen on The Simpsons).

:D

Dude! The Thorpedo! How could you skip that? And his teammate, the world's coolest looking human being, Michael Klim!

Tsk. Sad day indeed, when a Yank has to take up for you Ozzies.
