Doing pretty well, Harmon, I am not back on my feet yet however.
I have been avoiding EN World because of the feeling I was getting from certain threads and certain people posting on EN World. Its understandable that some of them thought I was saying one thing when I posted my story and I do not blame their mistaken perception of my story for a cry of “I am a victim,” and you are hurting me. I saw your post and I thank you, some of my friends said you seemed a bit hurt by the attack you perceived I was under. You are a good person for defending someone you do not know.
Physically, I am getting better. Sleeping in my bed again and not on the couch anymore (not sure if you have ever had broken ribs, but if you ever do a suggestion- sleep sitting up). I can put weight on my leg, and using my arm hurts but not as much as it did yesterday. I have lost some sight and hearing, but I have been told that I will recover. All my other injuries are getting better.
I was shown some pictures of some guys admitted the same night to the ER. I am pretty sure at least one of them was there, but it was dark, and I could not say for certain that he was one of the attackers. He stated that he fell down some stairs, ahead of his friends and took them down with him. They all have the same story.
My Sensei reminded me of the cancer that is vengeance and I told him that I would let them go in my heart and soul. When asked about pressing charges, my girlfriend said she would, and I nodded that I too felt they needed to be punished. I won’t carry them with me any longer then I have to however.
I would rather not post anymore for right now, thus the long post.

With potential apologies to BlackSilver (and I'll remove this if she doesn't want the story retold), she and her ... lover? partner? best friend? all of the above? ... practice an "unconventional" lifestyle.

Geeeez... I hope the best for a speedy recovery.
Some time in March there was a gender thread, that seemed rather prejudice towards people that played the opposite gender. There were some that disliked the idea intensely (I would rather it not get it started again).
Some days- a week, or <shrug> I don't know how long before, Silver had been out with her friend and she was hit on by a guy. They- either there or away from, they were attacked by the guy and his friends (bravery comes with a gang, I suspose). From what I gather, Silver defended her significant other, there were bats involved. From what I gathered her girlfriend got away, Silver did not.
(My nobler heart has a vision of her standing toe to toe with half a dozen guys, yelling "run" over her shoulder, knowing that she is sacrificing herself for the one she loves. Knowing that if they both run one or both will not make it. However that is just an overactive imagination and not based on fact.)
Silver took some offense to the thread, and I gather that she was looking for some friendship or something here, when she opened EN she found this hatred towards gender different people and took it as another attack on herself (I am hetrosexual and I took offense to it- course I have a dire hatred of prejudice of any kind- including my own).
Not sure how upset she was, she doesn't seem the type to vent- though as I have been told these forums are a poor place to express one's self clearly.
From what I gather she was beat pretty badly, and as she said in that thread- nearly died.
I was curious about her, and asked through this thread.
