I remember there being a Yeti in the old 2e rules. But for the life of me I cannot find it anywere in 3.0 or 3.5 form. Does anyone know if the Yeti has been done for the newer rules.

It is in Oriental Adventures, which is kinda disappointing since they are featured in the Forgotten Realms novels, among other things. They really should have been in the Monster Manual.

didn't scott also manage to get a yeti into the ToH?
Yup. Yetis through the ages:
  • Strategic Review #3, p2 [D&D]
  • Monster Manual, p103 [AD&D]
  • Monstrous Compendium Volume One (MC1) [AD&D2]
  • Monstrous Manual, p368 [AD&D2]
  • Oriental Adventures, p199 [D&D3]
  • Tome of Horrors, p283 [D&D3]

Creature Collection has the Abandonned.

There's also the Taer (Tome of Horrors and Unapproachable East), which is very much yeti-like.

Finally, I've also used bugbears with white fur and cold resistance 5 as yeti-like critters.

If I recall correctly, the FRCS reccomended using dire apes as yetis. Kinda blandly yeti-ish, but good enough, apparently, for them.

Demiurge out.
