Where on Greyhawk do you run?

My old 2e campaign ran in the Cairn Hills/ Abbor-Alz region (at first) before expanding to encompass the Free City, a trip to the Yatils, and a short trek to Tenh.

Most recently I ran a campaign in the Vesve/ Highfolk/ Yatils region, which included some themes of the Wolf Nomads being displaced and a war against a powerful dragon.

Presently my new campaign is in Womtham, a major city in Nyrond, near the Flinty Hills. Orc incursions, a shanty town, taxation, and corruption in some of the Churches will come to the fore, I hope.

Usually the Pomarj/Wild Coast or City of Greyhawk. However, my campaigns generally have them going all over the place. The only real areas I have neglected are those along the top of the maps. Still went into Blackmoor once or twice, and into the Barbarian/nomad lands to the N/E.

I'm currently running Shackled City, but I've taken the liberty of making Cauldron and Adlerweg Keep one and the same (i.e. it's in the mountainous spur in the south of the Hold of Sea Princes). Also the time is late 583 CY, right smack dab at the beginning of the Scarlet Brotherhood's takeover of the Sea Princes. Drawing on the (already written) history of the war gives the campaign depth and 'bigness' without me having to do much work.

My previous campaign was set on the mountainous coastline south of the Sea Princes (in a backwater fief called the Barony of Veemme) in mid-583 CY, and it ended with the PCs leading a defiant peasant army against the Brotherhood (allied with various NPC factions the players managed to anger during the campaign). This was a scratch-built campaign, since I didn't find that stretch of coast (or much of the Sea Princes, for that matter) already detailed anywhere. (If anyone else has a game in that area, I'd be happy to share notes.)

My players aren't up to speed on Greyhawk history, so the gradual unfolding of the Greyhawk Wars (or at least the part that impact the Sea Princes) has been coming as a great shock to them!

I'm hoping to run my next campaign in Greyhawk between Istivin and Geoff, the former so I can use the excellent Dungeon magazine trilogy, Shadows over Istivin, and the latter so that I can run 2E's rather excellent, Against the Giants: The Liberation of Geoff.

One group is centered in Sterich -- they currently have a home outside of Istivin (having completed the above-mentioned Shadows Over Istivin), and a nice little castle in the north of Sterich.

The other group isn't really centered anywhere -- Greyhawk City is their base camp, because that's where the wizards' order is based, but they don't do a lot there in-game. It's Downtime City, basically.

My last long running campaign was in Shackeled city, so the mountains near the amedio jungle. The next campaign that i'm currently planning will be set in Rel Astra and the Solnor Compact. I only have the Gazzeteer for background and i'm intertwining the mad Baron Lum into the history of the place. Very much looking forward to running this.

My longest running game in Greyhawk was based in Geoff, using the 25th Anniversary re-issue of Against the Giants. The PC's were defending, and then eventually took over, a small town which they used as a base for a guerilla campaign against the giantish invaders, which eventually led to the liberation of around two-thirds of the giant held lands. Great fun combing the battles against the invaders with the dimplomatic attempts to bring in assistance from outside forces.
