Where would Opus be in modern day FR?

It is said that Lady Arilain, archwizard of Opus, learned of Karsus' plans to cast his destructive Karsus' Avatar spell. She went out the confront him and was never seen again. Does anyone know where to place the land (is it a land?) of Opus on the modern FR map?

Opus was an Enclave, just like Shade. So it floated above what is now Araunoch. But you won't find it anywhere on the map of faerûn. Now, If you can get a map of the Gates of the Moon - that's where the Enclave went: While the city of Shade moved into the Shadow Plane to save their hides, later to become creatures of Shadow, Opus went into the gates of the moon, and many inhabitants mingled with local celestials over the years, which means that there are a lot of planetouched there now. While Shade is loyal to Shar, Opus is loyal to Selûne, and you can bet that they will try to find a way to return to Faerûn just like Shade. As soon as that happens, Anauroch will see a War in the Skies just like in the days of old, before the literal Downfall of Netheril.

You can download the 2e Netheril boxed set as a PDF from http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/downloads

The PDF contains the maps from the box set, and they show Opus. However, the maps are split up across numerous pages (to enable printing), so it's kinda hard to figure out where Opus is in relation to other things. Feel free to print them out and compare to a modern map. For what it's worth, it was located on the western side of "Gods' Legion Mountains."

Thinking about it a little, it would seem that the God's Legion Mountains are the same as the Desertmouth Mountains in "modern" FR, which would put Opus on the eastern border of Anauroch.

For a sec there I thought you meant this guy:

I did too. I clicked on the thread wondering just what bizarre fate awaited him in a modern-tech version of FR.

Opus: I, Opuso the Mighty, do challenge you to a duel of Magic, Steve of Dallas!
Steve: Aren't you Khelben's little apprentice Butterbutt?
Opus: No, no, not at all.
Milo: He is; I saw him in the master's chambers earlier trying on the pointy hat.
Opus (jumping up and down): No, no, no!
Khelben's Familiar: Ackkkkphhhhtt!

I also saw this and thought of Opus the Penguin, and was trying to think of what part of the Realms were most like Bloom County.

Given the strange happenings, eccentric locals, and how it was a backwater place that just happened to have its locals getting involved with national and world politics, I could only imagine that Bloom County was actually in the Dalelands. Bloomdale or something.

Now I'm thinking of Steve Dallas as a Rogue with ranks in Profession: Barrrister (and a lot more in Bluff), A short, dumpy halfling with a big nose named Opus (Maybe a low-level Bard, since he knows lots of weird stuff and was a musician for w ahile) and his really-low-charisma friend Bill (a Psychic Warrior, after all Bill did spend a lot of time with a strange meditative cult and seemed to have inhuman endurance and control of his metabolism), and their dark-skinned gnome friend named Oliver who is always coming up with weird gadgets and plans.
