Maybe you are simply much kinder and more generous than I am.

Or - or - and this is just a thought, here - but maybe there's actually no evidence of any kind of malicious or deceptive intent, at all, and that even conspiracy theories revolving around WotC having an ulterior motive in wanting to hide the tools away are put to rest by the fact that DDI remains a revenue stream, and is not in competition with any other product of WotC's at the moment, and likely will not be for months.
