Where's everyone vacationing this year?

GenCon Indy.

going to Maryland for the 4th of July. watching the fireworks near NSA at Ft Meade.

then hitting Indy in August for Gen Con.

and then vacationing on Sanibel Island, Fla for Labor Day.

somewhere in there the rest of life happens.

Let me know where you're going to be - we always go and I still owe you that beer!

Sigh ... ... wish I could go to Gen Con in Indy this year. I'd love to meet you all! But I'll likely not be able to swing it this year.

We went to Cancun over May 13th - 20th. It was wonderful (complete details are in my blog). It is likely the only real vacation we'll take this year. We did a long weekend in Gatlinburg, TN in March, as well, but we'll probably just stay at home the rest of the time. I'm using most of the rest of my vacation time for GenCon.

I'm considering a walking/hiking trip in Wales, maybe Snowdonia Nat'l Park.

I get my two weeks of vacation time as of October 1.

So that week I'll be headed to the Black Hills (South Dakota).

Same place I go every year, Pinky...

Much easier to hike Harney when it's cooler out. Much cheaper all around when it's not peak season too. Being a Minnesotan, I can deal with the weather quite easily.

Save the other week for next summer. Dunno where I'll go then. Guess it depends on the financial situation.
