Which 80s wargames and adventure games do you still play?

I played a fair bit of Car Wars in the 80s. Great fun. You might describe it as RPG adjacent. I remember drawing out an arena map on a huge piece of graph paper, but I can’t remember where I got the graph paper from.

Some of them could be found in gaming magazines. The Ares magazine by SPI published a full game in each issue. Citadel of Blood and Arena of Death were in that magazine.

I own a History of the World (the 1993 Avalon Hill version) that I would love to get to the table again (last time was over thanksgiving with my then 14 year old son, who is now 26 - he fell asleep under the table between turns). That's the closest to an 80's board game I've got, and I'm definitely stretching the definition of "still playing"
