They are doing some really cool stuff with Savage Tides, but my patience for demonic/godly bossfights as a capstone is wearing thin. I may revise my vote after I see how they handle the endgame for the series, but as of now, I'll say shackled city.

+1 on the demonic/godly stuff

That's the main reason that I'd really like to see an AP for levels 1-10 or 12 because that's about the AP's (and 3ed in general) start to drive me nuts.

I voted for SC as well, just because I really liked its low-level adventures the best. AoW is a close second. ST just hasn't really grabbed me as much as I thought it would.

How is the timeline in savage tide ? Do PC go up from peon level 1 to archmage level 13 in a few weeks, like they do in AOW ?
Actually, there are long stretches of time during and between adventures.

You are truly weirder than I though Psion. But eh.

*will agree to reserve some judgment on ST after it ends*

Zombie pirates? I up that ante with Spawn of Kyuss any day.

Spawn of Kyuss are cool.

But I don't see anything wrong with SC. As someone mentioned, AoW reads well, and is very moody, but in my admittedly limited experience, AoW reads better than it plays. I had a better play experience with SC. AoW was more straight up dungeon crawl, where SC had lots more "live by your wits" and "sticky situations" that fit my playstyle better.

From what I can tell so far, I think I like Savage Tide best. Sea-faring combined with Demon Lords really appeals to me.

Shackled City is a very close second.

AoW just didn't click with me as much as the other two have. Kind of all over the place, geographically, so it was a bit more difficult integrating it into my campaign.

Arn,

See I like travel.

*doesn't know about the leveling problems some had* I mean I had my group only up to 3rd barely by the end of Whispering Carin and that took at least 3-4 weeks.

Psion,

*shrugs* It played alright to me. Just reminded me to a) have a pretty consistent group, b) one with dungeon crawling experience and c) ones that have a regular cleric too.

I have the SCAP hardcover. I enjoyed reading the adventures as they came out in Dungeon each month. A few at the end get a little strange but I think that it was good nonetheless.

I haven't read anything to do with AoW as it started just as my subscription expired. Based on people comments about it I would buy the hardcover if they made it though.

As for the STAP, I have just finished running the Freeport Trilogy so I am a bit tired out on the whole pirate thing at the moment. My experiences in running combat involving water in 3.xE haven't been great so I am wary of an AP that might have a lot of this.

Underwater combat and the swimming and drowning rules are something that I would like to see revised for 4E.

Olaf the Stout

Olaf,

There's only been a little of combat at seas. At least that I can recall off hand. Some of it is more "island" based. *is referring to Savage Tide*

You really should invest in getting the issues for AoW. They are still available I believe from Paizo.

I voted for Age of Worms. As much as I love pirates, what I've read about the Savage Tide so far hasn't impressed me all that much. The Shackled City, which we got about 1/4 of the way through before the TPK and subsequent hiatus, was seemingly-unrelated dungeon crawl after dungeon crawl. The Age of Worms has it all: travel, a challenge suitable for high-level characters, a ton of Easter eggs for fans of Greyhawk, and yes, even a couple of challenging dungeons.

Having only subscribed to Dungeon last year . . . yay, I love Savage Tide!

I did think the 'dungeon at sea' at the end of the third adventure was a little silly, though.
