Olaf,

There's only been a little of combat at seas. At least that I can recall off hand. Some of it is more "island" based. *is referring to Savage Tide*

You really should invest in getting the issues for AoW. They are still available I believe from Paizo.

I'll take a look at it. Trouble is that the AoW AP has all the "Wormfood" articles in Dragon Magazine that I missed out on. It would feel like I'm only getting half the goodies.

Those may or may not available via backorders as well, but the main meat is in the Dungeon. Some templates, some background, one or two PrCs are in the Wormfood. I have not really used the Wormfood all the much in my campaign.

Even if the Dragon issues were available on backorder, I don't think that I would as I don't think I could justify it from a cost perspective. I'd just have to go with the Dungeon issues and AoW Overload.

The best solution for me would be an AoW Hardcover but it doesn't look like WotC are ever going to approve it. :(

Olaf,

Probably not this year.

The Dragon wormfood articles were alright. The only one I truly enjoyed was the Wormhunter, best way to fight the worms, make them apart of you. Plus, it's only a chaotic act, and thus not 100% against the paladin code to use this.

The rest were meh. But I do understand your grip. WotC is missing on a goldmine.

Queen,

I seek clarification of that question. Are you referring to what an adventure path IS or what the adventure paths that are available about?

I have all of the "Wormfood" articles and I think they are something of a mixed bag and they are not essential to running the AoW campaign (however, get a hold of the Wormhunter PrC article and the shopping in Alhaster article). On the otherhand, the support in Dragon for STAP is, IMO, much, much more useful to running the campaign. They've really stepped it up a notch with "The Savage Tidings" articles and "The Ecology of the Isle of Dread."

See I like travel.

*doesn't know about the leveling problems some had* I mean I had my group only up to 3rd barely by the end of Whispering Carin and that took at least 3-4 weeks.

Yes, that is odd. It's been almost 6 months of game time and my party hasn't even gotten to Greyhawk yet.

Between the excellent Diamond Lake backdrop that has lead to numerous side adventures and roleplay sessions, and the fact that my large party is too low a level to move on (therefore needing a couple of bigger side adventures in the Abbor-Alz and Duchy of Urnst), the party is still 5th-7th level and just getting ready to start HoHR.

Agreed, especially about the Wormhunter and the Alhaster article. Albeit it wasn't nearly as good as the Wormhunter but there you are.

Plus you are right, the Savage Tidings are way more conductive to the PCs needs than they were in AoW. (Though some, like the magic shop were decent.)

Aggy,

I had only three PCs and one kept not showing up. That might explain the differences. Plus they didn't feel much like shopping around. (The gnome jeweler, Tidwoad, robbed them blind...and they knew it. ;) )

I totally agree. I have been making proficient use of these articles for my players. I even scanned and printed the Savage Tidings article from Dragon 350 (for Sea Wyvern's Wake) and gave it wholesale to my players. You can pretty much do this for all the Savage Tidings articles (so far).

I applaud Paizo on their support of STAP.

what are adventure paths?

'Adventure path' is the term Dungeon magazine uses to refer to any one of their three year-long series of adventures - Shackled City, Age of Worms, and (the current one) Savage Tide. Each month Dungeon publishes three adventures in the magazine, and one of those is for the current adventure path. Each adventure can be run on its own, but they fit together to form a 12-part campaign that runs from 1st to 20th level.

I actually don't know the plots for the older adventure paths. What are they about?

P.S., I was out shopping for clothes tonight, and had a lot of lovely D&D discussions with my friends Judson and Theresa. We didn't actually discuss adventure paths, but I'll be sure to bring it up the next time we go out clothes-shopping.
