Which Alternate Bard Class for Kingmaker?

I will probably be playing a gestalt Bard/Something Else in an upcoming Kingmaker game.

Without giving away any spoilers, which alternate Bard class from the Advanced Players Guide seems best suited to this AP?

Court Bard - Satire, Mockery, Bonuses to Diplomacy, Knowledge (History), Knowledge (Local) and Knowledge (Nobility).

Detective - Increased awareness, trick NPC's into confessing, reveal hidden enemies. Bonuses to Knowledge (Local), Perception, Sense Motive, Gather Information.

Magician - More spells, counterspell ability, arcane bond, wand bonus.
Bonus to Knowledge (arcana), Spellcraft, and Use Magic
Device.

It appears that our group might not have a wizard, although we may have a psion.

I think Court Bard could be interesting. I'm playing it and into the 4th book with a Paladin and there has been plenty of chances for role playing and to take advantage of what you would want to do with him.

Whatever bard you choose, I would definitely consider the prestige class Battle Herald from the APG. I'm currently playing in Kingmaker and that PC looks well suited for it.

If no wizard, then go with Magician. I'm playing one right now, and having a lot of fun.
