Wow, that's great! All of these stats are good! Man, how long has it been since I was here? Have to start checking my email account more often...

Thanks for the praise, John!

AA3: Fantasy Animals was delayed by your's truly, as I've had some personal issues and computer issues (with my new computer no less). My motherboard isnt being so motherly, lets just say.

The artwork is complete, and I have only to do some final editing on 2 of the creatures, so I'm really close. I apoligize for the delay.

I am proud to announce that AA3: Fantasy Animals will be available in the next couple of days!

You may want to keep your eyes peeled at SkeletonKey Games's website as well for a treat. ;)

A wolverine appears as a small but stocky creature that resembles a small bear. Wolverines have small black eyes and sport sharp teeth and claws. Wolverines have thick brown fur with a yellowish stripe on its flanks.

COMBAT
Wolverines are fearless when it comes to acquiring a meal. They have been known to bully brown bears away from carcasses. They are tenacious and ferocious animals, and deserve a wide birth.
Low-light Vision (Ex): A wolverine can see in conditions of lowered light as well as a human can in daylight.
Rage(Ex): A wolverine that takes damage in combat flies into a berserk rage on its next turn, clawing and biting madly until either it or its opponent is dead. It gains +4 to Strength, +4 to Constitution, and -2 to Armor Class. The creature cannot end its rage voluntarily.
Scent (Ex): A wolverine can detect approaching creatures, sniff out hidden foes, and track by sense of smell. Creatures with the Scent special quality can identify familiar odors just as other creatures can detect familiar sights with its eyes. The creature can detect approaching creatures within 30 ft. by sense of smell. This increases to 60 ft. if upwind and lowers to 15 ft. if downwind. Strong smells, such as smoke and rotting garbage, can be detected at twice the ranges as usual. Overpowering smells, such as skunk musk or troglodyte stench, can be detected at triple normal range.
Snowshoe (Ex): Wolverines have broad paws that allow them to traverse snow with ease. They are unaffected by deep snow and its movement related penalties.
Skills: Wolverines have a +8 racial bonus on Climb checks and can always choose to take 10 on Climb checks, even if rushed or threatened.
Feats: Wolverines gain the feat Endurance as a bonus racial feat.

Mostly the same creature, but a little more accurate as far as non-combat abilities go. Enjoy!

Do you want to see new (IMHO more accurate) versions of Animals in the MM?
Oh heck yes.

For example, I would like to throw either my version of a grizzly or a wolverine in AA4: North American Animals. If I did do this as standard practice, it would only be 1 or 2 animals, the rest would be all-new animals I've never seen in a d20 product.
Where can I purchase your animal archives?

WOLVERINE

(snip)

Recently researchers have determined that wolverines are fakes. It's all bluff, though if cornered a wolverine can do a fair bit of damage. Of course, since bears don't know this, they tend to err on the side of caution.

Wolverines are persistent, smart, and very strong. They have been known to get into storage facilities that have stymied brown bears. They also tend to get used to humans rather easily. Especially when the humans obviously pose no threat. But one really should treat them with respect.

BTW, the wolverine is a mustelid. It is the largest of the weasel family and looks a lot like a martin writ large. They are squat with short legs and a bushy tail. The muzzle is short and broad and the animal is able to crack the leg bones of caribou and elk with its bite. When dealing with a wolverien stay calm, be non-threatening, and if using some sort of speak-with -animals magic or ability be prepared to have your conversation constantly interrupted as the animal scrounges for food.
