Greyhawk, Spelljammer, DarkSun and Birthright.

I would read and enjoy them, and then add them to the stack of settings that I will probably never get the chance to actually play.

what do you mean?

you are playing them right now.

Planescape. And Dark Sun if it was done right (i.e., none of that crap from Dragon).

And heck, they don't need to re-release Greyhawk: just publish something new for it. Anything.

FWLIW: The Known World, Hollow World, and Red Steel are all different names for places on the same world, Mystara - kind of like FR, Kara Tur, and Maztica. However, I think the Mystaran regions are more interrelated than the FR regions. The only way to do the "Classic Campaign" properly would be to do it as a whole. The hypothetical thing should focus on the Known World, but have smaller sections on the other areas. Supposedly there is a Hackmaster version being done, but I haven't seen any updates on its status in a few months.

I voted Dark Sun, Spelljammer, and Other. Other in this case means Planescape and Al-Qadim - I think AQ could work very well without the ties to Forgotten Realms (the only mentions I saw in AQ material was reference to stupid northerners with their multitude of gods for different things worshipped by different races, some trade routes in Corsairs of the Golden Sea book, and a guy named Elminster of Shadowdale who moved to Huzuz to avoid getting confused with the other guy...).

OTOH, removing AQ from FR would mean that I couldn't tease FR folks by saying that the planet's name is Al-Toril anymore...

I picked Dark Sun, Spelljammer, Mystara, and Red Steel. I would also pick up Planescape, but with the Manual of the Planes and the Planar Handbook I have all I really need to run it anyway.

Never heard of these: Council of Wyrms, Jakandor and Red Steel.

Voted Greyhawk (altho, there is the LGG already, which should be pretty much what you mean with a one book treatment, or not!?), Dark Sun (only if they completely redo psionics for this one, of course) and Mystara, as well as other (mostly for Al-Quadim and maybe Planescape).

Greyhawk, Spelljammer, and another vote for Planescape, although I've gotten most of it now via the pdfs for sale.

Heck, 4 of those I've never even heard of; they really must have been cranking out the settings during the D&D vacation I took when 2e came out.
