for me: a toss-up between B10 and X2.
I've already ported GDQ to 3E, and am waiting to spring it on my party.

If your still on this thread, what kind of changes did you make in converting gdq to 3e? I assume Lolth should be confronted by higherlevel characters than in the original.

Castle Amber

Beat me to it. (:

I believe it's X2 or X3, but Chateau D'Amberville stood out because the GM could play all these whacked-out insane NPCs, yet didn't have to worry about what the PCs did. That is, pretty much every room encounter was self-contained yet totally nuts. Then, after the dungeon crawl, players went into a wilderness adventure, in which they were the center of attention in a fantastic mini-scenario.

I also managed to have a room with imps with polymorph non-living object powers (hehe) to make references to Paranoia.

I selected the Desert of Desolation series; mainly becuz it would be very useful IMC, which is set in a world where the elemental planes have sort of "fused" to the Prime Material Plane, and Genies, Genasi, and Half-Elementals have most of the power in their respective areas of the world. A rerelease of I3-5 would be highest on my wish list.

but my second choice would have to be either B4 the Lost City, or the Dwellers of the Forbidden City. cant decide. either way i would be happy

Damn right! Those were good modules.

My other vote would be for The Keep on the Borderlands.

Edit: That was a good module! For some reason I thought the castle and the alternate plane were in two separate modules.

I've recalculated the poll results, taking into account comments people made. Basically, I give more points if people bothered to post their opinion, whether or not they voted for one of the given adventures:

GDQ1-7: 27 points
A1-4: 15 points
I3-5: 16 points (note: I3-5 has received the most specific mentions in postings by far--there's real demand for a 'Return to' of this)
S1: 8 points
S2: 4 points
S4/WG4: 10 points (This is one I would stongly like to see.)
B2: 8 points
B3: O points (??)
X1: 11 points

Write ins
I6/I10 4 points
S3: 4 points
U1-3: 2 points
Caverns of Thracia: 4 points
I1-2: 3 points
B4: 4 points
B10: 2 points
X2: 12 points (this one received loads of strong write-ins)
N1: 2 points
H series: 4 points
C2: 2 points

I would like to see the Dancing Hut of Baba Yaga (or whatever the module is called) revamped for Third Edition. I never saw the module for the earlier editions, but I loved the the description of the Hut in the 2E Book of Artifacts and Baba Yaga herself is an interesting figure.

Isle of the Ape
C'mon! It's got an Island and an Ape. What more do you want? (I know it was by Gary Gygax, but I can't remember what the number was.)

X3 - Curse of Xanathon
I'm fond of this module, which I experienced ported to Greyhawk. Doug Niles is one of my favorite module designers.

X4-X5 and X10 - The Master of the Desert Nomads series.
I had a tremendous amout of fun as a player when we ran these modules (X5 Temple of Death especially) and when our characters came back to face the Master again in X10 it was the closest thing to a movie I've experienced in a D&D gaming session. Sessions, really...it took us a week of playing every single day (back when I could do that sort of thing) to get through it, and nations went up in flames.

L3 - Deep Dwarven Delve
I got this module with the 25th TSR Anniversary boxed set, a module Len Lakofka did years ago but which went unpublished until 1999. I loved it. It's a standard dungeon crawl, nothing fancy, but I'd love to run it in 3e. I'd actually like to see L1-L3 all done together, perhaps even tied together somehow.

I agree with several of the choices others have made, as well, especially B4. That was one of my absolute favorites, right up there with White Plume Mountain (which, if I'm going to be absolutely honest, I only liked as much as I did because I got my greedy little hands on Blackrazor...those poor Efreeti at the end of the module died painful deaths at our hands, and I don't think Tom expected that) and the Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. Hell, if WOTC/TSR was to re-release all the Supermodules in 3e form, I'd be happy as hell.
