Which continent has more RP gamers?

If we're talking about tabletop RPGs, then:
North America and Europe would be the clear top two (although possibly switched)
I would be very surprised if Europe had more table top players than North America. Actually, I would be surprised if Europe had more players than the US alone.

Poland is Central Europe and is certainly not devoid of gamers. We've got polish editions of DnD (2e, 3.0 and 3.5 with 4e on it's way. For 2e only core were translated) and WoD (up to date, I think). Also, WFRP is very popular here (it was first game here, translated in early 90s) and was most popular RPG until recently. We've got some less popular games (Earthdawn, 7th Sea, MERP, Legend of Five Rings, Deadlands and some more I think) in polish versions as well as some of own own games (post nuclear Neuroshima, dark fantasy Monastyr, steampunk Wolsung and Witcher, based on books by Andrzej Sapkowski, same world as cRPG game) and many people are buying games and supplements not published in Poland on amazon. One can buy RPG products in largest bookstore chain, but specialized RPG shops are not very popular (in my place (800k city) we had two of thoes shops, but have only one right) It's not a very popular hobby here (but it isn't anywhere, isn't it ?) but we've got some small gaming conventions (300 to 1000 people, 5-6 times a year).

Sweden's role-playing industry is mainly home-grown, and used to export to all Scandinavian countries. It is now in decline tough, but Sweden used to have a very high density of gamers: its a 8 million people country that used to support its own gaming industry.

I've played with a few Malayans and Chinese over the internet, as well as many Australians. I think Hong Kong, Malaysia and Macao all have gaming communities, even if they are small.

Wargames and boardgames are very big in Europe; RPGs not so much. That's not to say there aren't plenty of them, but RPGs are more popular n the US than Europe.

Almost every person I know in Europe is an RPG player, and most of those post on ENWorld. I am forced to conclude that Europe is full of gamers! :D

In contrast, I know many Americans that don't play RPGs.

Ah, the magic of self-selecting data sets! :)

Do you know gamers in countries outside South Africa? Namibia and Botswana wouldn't surprise me (given proximity to South Africa), but the rest, I dunno.
Well, I know plenty of gamers outside of .za, but alas none who live in the rest of Africa. I wouldn't be surprised to find some gaming groups in some of our neighboring countries, and in other parts of anglophone Africa, especially east Africa (Kenya in particular) and maybe Nigeria (mostly because of the significant population of ex-pats doing contract work there). That said, I've visited a fair number of other African countries and have never bumped into other gamers or found any shops selling anything even remotely game-related.

Here in South Africa, there are sufficient gamers to support a handful of gaming shops (at least two in Johannesburg, and at least one in Cape Town) as well as an annual gaming convention. I'm pretty confident that counting only South African gamers, Africa still outnumbers Antarctica by a fair margin.

The South African RPG wave has 68 subscribers, but there are alot more of us than that. I know of some gamers in Namibia as well. There is also a depressingly large number of expat South Africans in the UK, Australia and Europe.
