I say Ranger.

And everyone thinks it's broken. Well, it is. Mechanically, the 3.0 ranger does totally blow. I've hardly ever even played one. But as a concept? It's the coolest!

this is similar to the way I feel about the bard. Objectively, the class in the worst in combat (not melee, but doing any sort of damage) and is outshined by the rogue in terms of skills and diplomacy... but damn I love the flavor!

I actually thought it was the cinnamon. Bygones.

I'd have to say that while all the classes have the potential to have tons of flavor, that is dependant upon the campaign world. In mine, I'd have to say that sorcerers and paladins have the most flavor.

In general, when I play a PC, I feel that bards and clerics have great potential and flexibility for flavor.

Note: I did not vote as I couldn't pick 2.

I disagree.

In a well designed system, the flavor of a class can, should, and will be thoroughly swamped by the flavor a top-notch player can contribute, so that the class-contribution isn't really noticible.

Oh boy. Once more, the poll is not "how noticeable is class flavor compared to player flavor?" Okay? It has nothing to do with that. So let's move on.

It is utterly irrelevant whether the player is the best in the world or one of the worst. If the same quality of player portrays a character of each class, which do you find to be the most interesting in action? Have the coolest bells and whistles? Abilities?

Basically just a "what class do you like best" poll without the baggage of who's balanced, shafted, broken, nerfed, yada yada yada.
