Hello everybody!

So, in the latest D&D column there's a poll at the end asking which creature would we like to see makeovered. I figured everybody would know that by now, if not, here's the link, please vote!
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20060901a

I thought it would be a good idea to throw the exact same poll here to see how the ENWorld results differ from those of the ones who visit WotC. Of course, among those are the EnWorlders as well but there are many other opinions.

[I think this is allowed by the rules, if it's not please delete this poll]

I said bodak there, I'll say bodak here. They need to be more than a death gaze on legs! They're formed from poor souls who die pointlessly at the clutches of ultimate evil! Make 'em interesting!

Demiurge out.

Here! Here! I sent in an email about a month ago asking for the Bodak, so here's hoping!

I might as well reply to my own thread. I said drider because I see nothing wrong with them and I love those bastards, so I'd like to see what would he come up with.

While I'd like to see a number of creatures looked at, I voted Doppleganger. I think there's a lot that can be done with them that isn't reflected in their abilities at present.

Other than that, Hydras need a good going-over, IMO.

lol. i voted grick because they are way too tough if you don't have a magic weapon and way too easy if you do. however, in retrospect, i think the hydra needs more work and wish i had voted for that one. the ambiguity of the hydra's combat reflexes (let's not bring up the argument, suffice it to say, different people have different opinions) and breath weapon are worthy of discussion. the hydra is a great classic monster, but i think it could help a lot if these abilities were clarified. since i've liked mike's work on the first two, i think he has a good shot at coming up with something good for the hydra. i'm a bit hesitant on the beholder though. i don't think the beholder is broken really so i see no need to fix it. maybe that's just me though. we'll see.

Okay, I lied - I actually voted for the delver, and not the bodak. Now, can you back that up? :]

Yes he can. Fortunatly, however, Whizbang is a traditionalist - he'll be hunting you down on foot, and his only weapon will be a spear that he makes himself.

So it might take a while before any actual hunting down and/or killing really starts to manifest itself. You've got time, no worries.
