Which D&D Campaign World did you enjoy most?

One of my favorite bits of art is the heroic princess rescuing her prince from durance in a tower, and claiming a kiss in the bargain. That is eminently how you take the Arabian Nights and make them gameable as heck.

Hellz, yeah.

Al-Q is without a doubt my favorite setting as written.

In addition to the Arabian Nightsness of it all I also felt it was the first 'Eberron' setting in that it provided contexts in which DnD tropes made a ton of sense.

Yep..the thing about Al-Qadim was that it so far has been he only setting to really make me feel like I'm part of Scherazade (sp?) stories.

Too many Arabian settings were too much history for my liking...to put it bluntly, what Im looking for in an Arabian setting is a mash-up of the old Hollywood sinbad movies and Disney's Aladdin

And the art really helped as well.

It's a tie between Dark Sun and Planescape, well not a true tie. Dark Sun wins because of the new version but I am fond of Planescape. I loved the original box set to death. Al-Qadim was fun to play and I really enjoyed that as well.

Eberron seems like a great setting never really played it though.

Non-WoTC settings: Probably Midnight and Dawnforge.

I really really enjoyed THUNDER RIFT. It was my first time as a DM. Good memories. Wasn't it part of Mystara?

The folder edition of Greyhawk. It left a lot of room for the DM's imagination. Every DM I know who used it put their own spin on it.

Much of it is usable as is.

Ideally, there would be Domains for each of the Titans (not for Clerics, but for *Druids* to choose via Natural Bond), a Sorcerer Bloodline for each of those Titanic areas of focus (twistblood for Gormoth, gluttony/hunger for Glaurak, serpent/venom for Mormo, plague/pestilence for Chern, etc.) and some extra Pathfinderized Domains, but, many of the signature creatures are easy enough to port over and use as is (just strap on CMB and CMD, for the quick and easy 'we won't sweat the details' conversion).

A few Scarred Lands Domains for Pathfinder.

True, and I'm actually thinking about running the Serpent Amphora Cycle with Pathfinder, if our current group is interested after we finish Rise of the Runelords. I'd just like to see some shiny new books.

Favorite to DM? 4th Edition Points of Light. Allows me to run with whatever idea I have.

Favorite to Read Al-Qadim. I loved that setting, great class options, great setting.

Overall Best Setting Ever? Planescape. The cant, sigil, the factions, the number of mysteries and problems that are available throughout the planes got my imagination running when I read it in high school. Never played in it, or ran it.
