Tell me what in the Splatbooks is more abusive that (for example) the undispellable powerful effects of some hymns? Or some of the Q classes that give extra abilities to a class with no drawbacks.
Sorry, some Q books are better that splatbooks in content (most notably Rogue, Monk, and Wizard), but the balance is more off in general in the Q books.

and don't forget some of the barbarian feats
like Dragon's toughness come un an extra 12hp - get real!
I don't use any monk classes in my game. its an eastern philosophy that IMHO has no place in "western" games.
I do agree that the Q.rogue book is probably the best in the series but I also like the fighting styles presentated in the Q.figther.
I have been playing or running this game for 23 years now, so I think I have a pretty good idea of how to play and run this game.

No offense to anyone, but there's only one *right* way to play "this game"...the one that results in you and your friends having fun. Beyond that, it's all optional.
