Which god for my paladin?

Incidentally, if you want a "mean" paladin, you might consider the Grey Guard prestige class in Complete Scoundrel.

And yeah, St. Cuthbert is definitely the first choice here.

Oh, and for the pro-Wee Jas guy; I assume you know about the Ruby Knight Vindicator prestige class for worsphippers of Wee Jas in Book of 9 Swords? Designed for Crusaders, Clerics and Paladins of Wee Jas.

Another vote for old Cuthbert.

And don't forget to name your hammer "Wanting." Just so that you can say to evildoers, "You have been tried and found Wanting."

Use the one that lets you carry a six-shooter.

No cause then he'd be playing d20 modern. :p

Shilsen,

LOL! :) Now THAT was classic.

Coyote,

Maybe I'll convince some other player. :p

Particle,

Paladins can access it without taking martial maneuvers?! Really? I wasn't aware of that...

But I thought Grey Guards worked for Pelor...

a) Ruby Knight Vindicators do need maneuvers but you can get those with feats or multi-class for 1 level of Crusader. You could even do a Paladin 4/Crusader 1/Ruby Knight Vindicator 10/Master of Nine 5, if you are human.

b) Grey Guards don't work for Pelor (well, I guess they could, but the prestige class is not inherently tied to any one diety). There are some other prestige classes like "Shadow something or other" in Complete Champion that do the "undercover spies for Pelor" bit, but the OP's paladin seems to be a little more...direct. And Grey Guard can do "I'm in your face *now*, punk! *TELL ME WHERE TONIGHT'S DEVIL SUMMONING RITUAL IS TO TAKE PLACE, NOW!!!!!*" Heck, they can use their lay on hands to sicken people, to make them easier to intimidate!

Particle,

I have no idea but if they did, you can bet they eliminated the six shooter.

I think I'd prefer not to dwell on the sickness of such a thing, but hey it is Boz's character to do with as he wishes.

See while Grey Guards are fine for a more...scoundrelly type, I don't necessarily see Boz's character as anything being close to Batman. Heck it's barely even the Punisher! ;)
