Which hairstyle should I get?

I have to cut as part of my school's uniform policy. And I can't gpo bald or crew cut I look horrible in either of them.

Wait, long hair is not permitted by the uniform policy but you think a look "...like Sid Vicious or Johnny Rotten." would be okay? I don't recall them being especially sedate looking. You might want to show a pic of the hair style to someone before you get it.

I was 13 in 1968 so long hair issues are something I've dealt with. Right now, at 50, I have a pony tail and have had my hair as far down as my belt within the past decade. I also cut my hair to look 'mundane' so that I could improve my chances of getting a job when I was laid off a few years back. Nuthin' wrong with doing what you have to do to pay the rent, keep food on the table... or go to school. Like I said, check the style you want, because the only way to change it will be to cut it more.

Ok so my hair is kinda long and my Dad's making me get it cut. So I'm thinking of getting it cut and styled to look either like Sid Vicious or Johnny Rotten. As a personal opinion which do you guys think looks better?

What message do you want to send to others? Do you want them to be scared of you or avoid you? Then Sid Vicious is the style for you. If you want them to think you're a nice, responsible young man that they would like to be friends with, then you might want to rethink those choices. Right or wrong, appearance is how we make our first judgements about other people.
