Which Magic Items Would You Get?

If you could buy any 5 magic items. Each one has to be 10,000 GP or under. Which 5 would you get. Remember just 5 and each one has to be under 10,000 GP. Just curious as to what type of magical items people would choose.

I don't have the book... off the top of my head:

for a fighter/rogue

belt of giant strength
gloves of dexterity
keen rapier
ring of invisibility
magic leather

It will depend on his ability score and such. Does that guy wear full-plate or prefer light armor to use full potential as a rogue? What is his favorite weapon. Which feats and skills does he have, etc. It will be good if you can show us more detail.

Sorry.:( My mistake I should have mentioned this would be for your own character, not mine. I will post my choices for my character here in a little while.:D

It is still depend on his level, ability score (say, how many point-buy), availability of magic items in that world (can he buy more or upgrade his current equipment later?), party configuration and teamwork (does the cleric boost him with bull's strength?), etc.

Also, when you say "any", which books are in your mind?

Level 5, 28 point buy, all magic available. Needs to buy 5 different items. Each one needs to be under 10,000 GP. Just use the 3E Dungeon Master Guide

It's pretty hard to give useful advice when we don't know the class... These suggestions are for a Wizard.

Boots of Striding and Springing (For getting the heck out of melee range.)
Heward's Handy Haversack (For quickly accessing your wands and scrolls.)
Ring of Animal Friendship (To provide you with a bodyguard at all times. Something like a 12 HD Dire Bear.)
Boccob's Blessed Book (Greatly reduces spell scribing costs.)
Headband of Intellect (Raises DCs and gives additional bonus spells.)
