Which magic weapon would you pick?

You've been swept into a crazy world of monsters and magic. As you take inventory of your surroundings, a gnome in red robes strolls out from behind a boulder and offers to help you get back home. He offers you one of the following weapons/items to choose from in an effort to assist your quest. Which would you take?

Assuming the hat actually works the way it is described I would take that in a second. Infinately useful. A besides - then I'd have a hat!
