you forgot Where the Wild Things Are!

Maurice Sendak wrote the first monster book i ever owned. you have to homebrew the stats, but if you're lucky, your dinner will still be warm when you're finished.:)

i too am a sucker for monster books, so chalk me down for Tome of Horrors, Monster Manual 2 and the Fiend Folio as well. can't resist all the cool pictures--they take me back to the formative gaming experience i had coloring in all my 1e books as a gradeschooler.

have considered Creature Collection II, but the cavalier use of the rules in the first one has so far kept me away. some wonderful artwork though, and in black and white...maybe i'll dig out my crayons.

As time goes on I find the Creature Collections less useful than I initially thought. Many of the CRs are screwy and while a few monsters are inventive, exactly how many humanoid-type critters do we need? I use maybe 10% of the critters in the CC books. Ditto for the MoF. Ironically, after looking at what's out there, the monster book I value the most is...the Monster Manual. I can't wait for Monster Manual II and Fiend Folio!
