Which new base classes are broken?

I think that while the Warlock isn't broken, it is very boring, and makes a lot of interesting challenges just not interesting. One of my players plays one, and I'm very tired of flying and ray blasting.

None of the non-base classes are horribly broken...theres the artificer but a simple house rule stops most of the abuse.

If anything you should be worried about non-base classes being UNDERpowered. Just look at the samurai.

Something I'm noticing is the Warlock isn't broken, but highly powerful - especially if someone multiclasses into it. Imagine a Warlock 2/Fighter X with Hideous Blow - they get Eldritch blast at will and an extra +1d6 to damage when they make a single attack, a better Will save, and some unique skill options. All in exchange for 2 feats and +1 BAB.

It's one of those deals that seems like it should be great, but looks slightly less attractive with every detail you remember.

Hideous Blow with every single attack, sweet!

Er, every single attack. Can't use it with iterative attacks.

Or on a charge.

Or with medium or heavy armor.

And +2 check to penetrate SR isn't going to get past anything with spell resistance.

And I have to suck up d6 hitdice for two levels.

And I only get 2 + int skill points to use on that great skill list.

I have not seen nor read the new players 2 but from multiple 2nd hand sources the Duskblade appears be very stout if not a little broken.

And of course there is always the Psion

Blightersbane

Duskblade seems to stop looking good at higher levels. Nearly none of the hiigher level duskblade spells can be used with arcane channelling IIRC. Instead you get weird spells like disintegrate which IMHO very much do not fit into the melee gish type build......its more like a blaster mage thing.

You can definitely used ranged touch spells with arcane channelling. Disintegrate, enervate, and polar ray all work wonderfully for experienced duskblades.

I also feel compelled to pimp my favorite base classes: the archivist (Heroes of Horror), binder (Tome of Magic) and the beguiler, duskblade, and knight (from the PHII). All of them, I think, are balanced and fill valuable niches. I'm slightly concerned about the duskblade's large number of spells per day, but see no problems otherwise.
