Add me to the "something new" category. For crying out loud, enough re-boots (and this goes beyond RPGs into cinema). How about some fresh ideas. Re-boots can sometimes be great (e.g. Casino Royale) but usually mediocre at best (Star Trek).

I'd like to see them go all-out on a new setting, and then turn the story arcs into classic setting revisits with either a regional gazetteer to go along with the adventure or at least a section in the adventure detailing the region. Tyranny of Dragons was a missed opportunity, in my opinion - it should have included a gazetteer of the Sword Coast to help facilitate continued play in the Realms without buying OOP product.

So then you can have two "streams" of setting/adventure product:

A) A New Setting with ongoing supplementation and adventures.

B) Classic Setting Story Arcs - in 1-2 books, including a regional gazetteer.

Make it so, Mearls.

There are several non-WotC settings on that list, so it's strange Scarred Lands is missing. But at least Wilderlands is in!

As for WotC, I would love to see some Greyhawk or Eberron stuff. But do not dare to produce a Greyhawk setting book without a big ass hexmap!

I would like to see DragonLance if any, but even then they need to bring in outside talent to do it justice. I am tired of them blowing up every setting, and I want to keep them away from BirthRight, which is the only one they never did that to. They need something generic like Paths of Light, which has no canon to speak of.

Something new, fitting for the stories they want to tell with their adventures would be my first choice. If they have to pull something old out of the closet, they couldn't do better than Mystara, with all its goofiness and over the board, unbounded creativity.
