I'm running the giant series now, updated to 3.5, raised to 16th level, and fairly heavily modfied - currently part way through G1. We are planning to do all of GDQ.

And the what?

Sorry. I sometimes think I have ADHD or something.

The fire giant got a good hit on the wizard with his greatsword--double eights, max damage.

This will just reinforce his tendency towards raising his Con higher (from 18) and leaving his Dex at 8.

Edit: Again, not chitzk0i, but VirgilCaine. Balls, balls, balls.

Those of you that haven't run G1-3, you really should. And, if you have a chance to play, for god's sake don't read them beforehand. G2 and G3 are very tough, and in surprising ways (i.e. not necessarily "there is a room with 25 fire giants sitting on their bunks", although you might think that's what's there).

I whole-heartedly agree. The G series sort of shaped the way I approach the game to this day. They are just so damn fun.

All of them except C4 and C5. I don't even recognize the names and I still have all my old 1E modules. Interesting.

I tried to run D3 but when my players got to the cavern they basically said, "A whole country full of drow elves? Let's get out of here!". :p

Supposedly that's what Gary's original players did, too.
