First Post
The owner of my FLGS wants to have a RPG night at his store. One night a week, someone will be running a one-shot of a different RPG system.

Between myself, the owner, and two employees, we've come up with a list of the games we own that we want to run. Everything on the list is intended to be the newest edition and currently in print.

If the game you've been itching to play isn't on this list, please mention it in the comments! I know several are missing representation, but like I said, this is a list compiled from the games that we own.

This seems like it's going to be pretty fun. I have several RPG systems that I've read but never run, and there are many games I want to play as well. If this takes off, I might be able to talk some folks into playing/running older and out of print games too!

Thanks!

Edit
I'm keeping a list of other games mentioned in this thread that people want to play / GM / learn to play.

Please remember that the titles listed above are the ones we currently own and can run for the store. I am interested in hearing about other current, in-print games that people want to play, but the poll isn't intended to be a comprehensive list of the top RPGs. We have to work with what we've got first :o

Champions/Hero 5e
Ars Magica
Silhouette Core
Arcana Evolved
Iron Heroes
Feng Shui (OOP?)
Runequest
True20
Star Wars
Stargate
A Game of Thrones
Spycraft 2.0
Teenagers from Outer Space (OOP?)
ODD (OOP!!! :uhoh: )
Rifts
Lejendary Adventures
Godlike
Midnight 2Ed
Traveller D20 (or Classic)
Prime Directive (any version)
Dark*Matter
Space 1889 (while old, its still in print)
Etherscope
Northern Crown (esp. if Nyambe is included)

Oh, and I didn't put FUDGE on the list because I have no idea what genre/type of FUDGE game we want to run. But we have several FUDGE fans and the system will certainly be represented somehow.

I can't believe HoL is on the list. I'm friends with the artist -- and it's not really intended for play. :)

Haha! I know... but that's part of the challenge to me. I was very surprised that I wasn't the only person there who owned a copy... so it must be played. :)

Conan, d20 Modern, d20 Modern Future, Exalted, Iron Kingdoms, Mutants & Masterminds, possibly Mage, and I'll give Shadowrun another shot since it has a new edition out.

Also, Silhouette Core (or is this now out of print? I don't recall), Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved, Iron Heroes and HERO 5th edition, which aren't on the list. All but SilCore are definitely in print and widely supported. And, is Feng Shui still in print? If so, add that, too.

I'm also very interested in Anima: Beyond Fantasy (one of those games that may be worth it for the art even if it's unplayable), but that's not out in the states yet.

EDIT: Throw in a vote for the new Runequest (ducks FTW!) and, especially, for True20. Although I like Mutants & Masterminds ever so slightly better, it definitely belongs on such a list!

While I'd probably enjoy all of them, only one managed to get a check from me.

& it isn't even on my list of the six games I most want to play.

(Because those are all either out-of-print or free.)

It is surprising that neither True20 nor Runequest appear on that list. (This sure isn't RPGnet! ;))

Of the games listed, I'd love to play Buffy/Angel, Conan, and WFRP 2e. I like C&C, but I've already played it (though I'd love to again!).

Incidentally, I'm a big fan of Cinematic Unisystem (the system for Buffy and Angel), I just don't care for that particular setting. IIRC, there was an Army of Darkness book published for the same system - now THAT would be a blast. :D
