Well, Peter would be nice but give me M. Night S--------

Ack, no, d&d lends itself for a much more action oriented movie.

That does not seem to be M Night Shyamalan's area. He is a more subtle directory- fighting in his movies always seems ugly and even awkward for the characters. Let him do a movie on bigfoot and leave d&d for someone with action oriented mindset- like Sam Raimi.

In retrospect, that would have been nice. Then the moviegoing world could despise DL as much as I do, and the D&D name would be untainted and there would be hope for a real D&D movie.

LoL.

Why do people dispise DL ?

Okay, I dont play in DL (only FR) since I'd prefer to play in my epic, not someone elses, but I enjoyed the chonicals. Hell, its better than the abomination that was the D&D movie.

With a bit of quality editing (like 30-40%) of the book, they could do a reasonable movie.

Reading over that, there are a few vivid highlights to the book, but i'm not sure that they'd capture well in film.

Anyway,

My rablings while I wait @ work.

re: Peter Jackson. He is not allowed to make ANY more films until he & Hugo Weaving, Ian McKellan & Ian Holm all fly back to New Zealand for a year and make The Hobbit :D

I read on AintItCool.com that PJ wants very much to do a remake of KING KONG. He wanted to do it recently, but when it was denied him, he went with RINGS instead. I'll bet no one will be denying him whatever he may want to do from now on, so I think we may see a Peter Jackson KING KONG next.

Of course, to not make THE HOBBIT with the established cast would be an unforgivable crime. :D

If it were not for Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, that jack-turkey Courtney Solomon would have have very close to destroying the movie genra of recognizeable fantasy.

That abortion of a "movie," Dungeons and Dragons should NEVER have been made, much less watched by those of us hoping to see something, anything, halfway decent.

From beginning to end, that movie was a painful experience. Beholder guards? Lizard-like Dragons? Plastic armor? Bruenor Battlehammer?!!!! That "Dwarf" was Bruenor... with a big, cheap Toys R Us axe!

AAAAHHHHHGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mind is ready to explode by dwelling on the horror of that film! By the gods, why did we have to relive the horror, the terror, the carnage of Courtney Solomon's diahreha!!!!!???????
