Dwarf

Gnomes are too 'nerdy-scholar' to be really macho
Half-orcs are knuckledragger-Jocks
Halflings are gansta's/goths/punks (depends on setting) and elfs are sissy-bois

Should I vote for "Halfling" or "hafling"? ;) (sorry, couldn't resist)

The most masculine race, IMO, isn't even listed. That would be the minotaurs from Dragonlance. Read the Minotaur Wars trilogy by Richard Knaak to find out why.

What is more masculine than the archtypical dwarf?

They are tough, stoic, taciturn, furry, hard-drinking, mechanically inclined, as likely to live in a hole as anywhere else, oddly artistic, argumentative, militaristic, often sexist, and money-loving.

Yep, sounds like male stereotypes to me ;)

Elves. They're the only race comfortable enough about their masculinity to go poncing about hugging trees all the time.

And dwarves are obviously overcompensating for something.
