Which Setting for You?

Where Do You Go?

TarionzCousin

Second Most Angelic Devil Ever
You have been magically kidnapped and whisked away to a fantastic and mysterious magic land (just like that book you read in Junior High School).

Which land is it and why?

Note that this is you as you are today. So if you go to a particularly harsh setting, please make sure your last will and testament is already on file.

No, not every single place is included in the poll. You can always pick "other" and explain.

Quite a few places aren't included in the poll...

[Edit--When I responded there was no poll displayed with the post and hence there were no places to choose from. Intended as a joke. Since the poll posted, I sort of just look like a jerk... bummer]

I voted for Dragonlance. Krynn was my first love and the opportunity to steal Lauralanthalasa away cannot be passed up...

He has the main ones in there.

I'd go with my own world since I know it best and would be able hopefully survive there. Most D&D world are far too dangerous for a modern person to expect to be able to live for a while.

I voted Kalamar because I've been involved in 3 excellent campaigns there - two as a player, and one as a DM. In terms of being whisked away to Kalamar - I think because it's not suffered through any mega-apocalyptic type disasters and is still in the growing & expanding stage, it could be do-able.

I've enjoyed a lot of other settings, though, and have never had a chance to enjoy the Midnight setting as a player or DM...though, I would never want to be whisked away to there.

Mystara. The rest of the official D&D settings are various flavors of crapholes. There's at least a few nice and safe places to live in Mystara. (The Five Shires spring to mind.)

Planescape (Sigil, especially) is the setting I would most want to live in and least want to actually roleplay in. Not sure how that works, but hey!

Xanth.

I'd rather be punned to death than eaten by a grue.

My talent would be abstract literalism, however the first time I use my talent I would die a horrible death. (I'd rather die then be stuck in a Xanth novel, especially if I have to spend one year as Humphrey's man servant before I get to have my big adventure).
