Which Western is worth my wages?

Sorry for the very poor alliteration. Really, I'd like to generate some discussion or read some opinions about which D20 western game is better, Sidewinder: Recoiled, Wild West OGL, or another of which I'm unaware. I really like what I see in Sidewinder, but I like Mongoose. What say you all?

Wow, Jaerdaph, that is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks. Based on the discussion in that thread, I can safely say that Sidewinder will be the game for me. I've been loving HBO's Deadwood and I would love to run a campaign in that town. Thanks again!

Since that time d20 Past (for d20 Modern) has come out, but you really can't run a decent Wild West campaign with it on it's own out of the box.

Sidewinder Recoiled is the way to go :)

I'm thinking of having a "car wreck" between SW: Recoiled and Traveller T20 to finally give a decent Firefly/Serenity game. (At least until Margaret Weiss decides to publish her Firefly book.)

Depends on what you want....

Sidewinder: Recoiled is an excellent D20 Modern based wild west RPG.
Deadlands D20 is also an excellent old west RPG...
Deadlands, however, is base D20 and has magic, undead, and crazy critters.
Sidewinder: Recoiled is straight historical. No crazy critters or magic.
I don't know about Wild West OGL... Haven't seen it.

Well, it seems a little like a drop ina bucket now, but I'll just add my voice to the chorus singing the hosanahs of Sidewinder: Recoiled.

It is one of my favorite D20 products ever. I wish I could play it more :(

Just a note for you Recoiled fans: I just noticed that the Sidewinder: Recoiled data has made it out of alpha and into the main release for PCGen, too. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I'm sure hoping it's in good shape as I prefer to use a computer to create PC's.
