who are the Shadowrunners among us?

Just wanted to take an informal EN World "role-call" of those that have played or are currently playing SR.

As a side note, is anyone going to be playing SR at GenCon? I'm hoping to.

I used to play it, and might run Queen Euphoria sometime.

Alas, I never actually learned the ruleset.

IMO it and Dark Matter are the best examples of Modern fantasy, much superior to Werewolf and Urban Arcana.

I'm a big fan of SR.
I've played all 3 editions. GMed it as well.
Unfortunately haven't played much recently but I'm still buying the books.

I have GM all three eds and while I like the world A LOT I am not a big fan of the rules anymore. Every now and again I get a hankering to run it again but if I ever run it in the future I will use either Muntants and Masterminds or Cim. Unisystem (based on Angel and Magic Box)

Played and DMed.

Had my first and best SR character (much beloved by the rest of the party) die because the GM refused to bend the rules a bit to account for an ambulance saving my character on time. No matter how much the entire group would plead, he said "I can't do anything! It's in the book!". So out goes Juan Jesus Rodriguez, shadowrunning mage, and in comes an endless line of lackluster characters meant to replace a good one...

And all because I rolled badly.

Best thing I did with JJ was stand toe-to-toe with an NPC Mage. The GM expected me to enter a spell duel with the NPC, but I drew forth my machinegun and blasted the bastich off the sky! HA!

Hey Chummer.

Haven't played since the 90's, and would love to jump back in. But since the wife is now preganent with our first my gaming purchases are now becoming tighter and tighter. No SR for me. :( On the bright side though another gaming mind shall soon enter the world! :]
