Who else considers he has now enough d20 stuff and won't buy more?

I gave away a lot of my d20 stuff last year and, while I still buy a fair bit, the days of being the first at the FLGS to buy a new product are long gone.

I'm a collector. I like gaming books as works of fiction, idea generators and I enjoy the art. My purchasing has gotten a tad more selective but hasn't really slowed. Mostly I wait until a book has been released to hear the gamer chatter about it. I have pre-ordered a number of WoTC books because I know I can use them, will enjoy SOME of the book and the art.

Of course, with Amazons glacially slow shipping dates I may get to hear about a book long before I get it, even if I did pre-order it...

My buying habits have toned down dramatically over the years coming to a near stop. The last thing I bought was probably the Draconomacon. Except for miniatures. Lately, its just been really hard to impress me enough to get my money, I guess. ;)

Do I have enough d20 stuff to use in different games until the cows come home? Yeah.

Yet somehow, whenever I find myself saying I am going to lay off for a while, someone comes up with something that looks interesting and useful.

I never got into a d20 buying frenzy. I've always been very, very selective about the stuff that I've bought. And (much to publisher's chagrin, I'm sure), I never buy stuff unless I need it at that particular moment. And since I've done more playing than GM'ing in 3rd edition, that has affected my purchase habits more as well.
That said, there are still products I would like to have, and I'm always looking at the various pdfs available.

I've also given up on d20, and the next campaign I run will probably be set in HARP, so stuff that's not specifically tied to the d20 rules that I can use, also get my attention.

d20 Past is still a future purchase (maybe, I'll glance over it) but overall I'm going back to the Chaosium version of Call of Cthulhu. And Lone Wolf, of course, will still be bought. I've sold off many of my books in the past year (stuff I'll never use -- why do I need the FRCS, I never even play in the Forgotten Realms).

I've always been a little selective and for the most part stick to WotC stuff on top of that (I pick up the occasional PDF and do purchase 3rd party d20 adventures sometimes). Last year was some catching up on lots of 3.5 stuff I missed. This year I may pick up Frostburn and the Complete books. I will also pick up the Realms books coming out this year. I haven't bothered with the Races books or anything Eberron.

My purchases of d20 stuff in general, especially D&D in particular, has choked off to a trickle since this time last year. I've simply too much D&D 3.x material on the shelf that has never seen use at the table to continue to buy more, in either print or pdf format. Combine that with the fact that I'm pretty much done DMing 3.x beyond the occasional stand-alone adventure, and I think you can do the math. If anything, I'm likely to continue to purchase Goodman's DCC series for an occasional night or 3 of running 3.5, anf the Thieve's World stuff from GR.

Now, I'm still interested in some d20 games, notably Conan d20, and I will be giving C&C a good look when the core three books are completed and released, but in general, yeah. I'll never buy d20 products in the quantity I did 2+ years ago.

Well I don't have all I want but I have slowed waaay down.
I was a collecter at the time 3E came out. After 2 years of Kalamar I stopped buying it because I wanted more of the core and money was becoming an issue.
FR then fell by the wayside once the Mini's came out.
Now I am just getting Core WOTC (but behind), Eberron and Minis.
I will probably catch up my FR stuff on ebay or cheap sales somewhere.
Sadly outside of that it is hard to justify at this time.

There is something like that to be released? Hum... Just curious, since I don't plan to ever buy anything. :heh: At least, it resemble a big reusable module.

World's Largest City is under construction at AEG right now. Whenever I've tried to pry information out of AEG as to its release date (or previews) they've ignored me. :)
