Who else was contacted by WOTC but didn't win?

Who else was contacted by Christina Matthews within the last two weeks but didn't move on to the next round? I teamed up with a friend and we sent one signature (as per the official contest faq) but then she contacted us personally and stated they needed us to send in the other signature.

I assumed that meant ours was in at least the top 100 or so (since Zulkir stated he chose his top 10 the day after we were contacted). Since we didn't get selected for the top eleven, we'll never know. Just curious as to how many others were contacted in the 11th hour but didn't move on.

I was contacted about two or three weeks ago

In my case I Believe it was just the legal department making sure that they had all the paperwork in order. I was asked to send two more legal forms in and did so

I have to say it was above and beyond for WOTC to do that instead of round filing the submissions. They really were thorough and while I didn't win :( at least I know they did give them a fair hearing

I have no complaints

Still if (big if here) they had one of them in the top 100 or so I would love to know which one. I figure I could develop it further and maybe go the PDF route...

Hmmm, over 100 views and only one response. I must say that does suggest we were most likely in somebody's top ten, as I can't imagine they contacted every team or proposal that didn't have "paperwork in order" out of 11,000 a mere two weeks before the deadline. I wonder how close we were to being in the top 11. Oh well, its not like we'll ever know.

I didn't send anything is, so of course I was contacted. I was just wondering what you plan on doing with the setting now?

No offense, but it seems more likely to me that your proposals were notable but so close to the ones that were chosen that they preferred to get you to sign off properly now rather than wait and have you challenge it later. *shrug*

None taken Mark! I figure I was against some pretty heavy hitters out there in D&D land. I didn't figure I had a chance at the WOTC thing anyway.

Still it gave me quite a start when they called ande a little false hope, kind of like playing the lotto :D

a friend of mine did get contacted, but didn't end up in the top 11/ it was fun for a while to wonder if he was being considered tho :) if he wasn't in the running at all, i figure they wouldn't have bothered. ... but you never know. they could have just been covering their ... um ... since you can say @$$e$ on tv, is it OK to say it here? :D :p

We've discussed fleshing it out as a new setting to play in. It was something we created just for the contest.

Probably shouldn't say ass or asses, although they do put them right on prime time television in the USA now (and for the last ten years or so).
